botanically dyed linen ribbon
Years ago I learned how to plant dye so I dyed some linen napkins that I sewed & made some linen ribbon! I've been obsessed with all things linen for a long time & I had not seen anyone making linen ribbon before. I thought I'd make some to wrap around wedding albums & proof boxes for clients. I just thought it'd be a fun hobby as well as adding that special, heirloom quality touch. The ribbon is 100% linen that has been hand torn then naturally dyed with cutch. I didn't use a mordant so the color wasn't as strong as it could've been, but I love the dusty rose/dusty salmon color they came out as!
