Lavender is my favorite scent besides lilacs! This was truly a breathtaking site to see since lavender doesn’t typically grow in Wisconsin climates. It looked like we were in France! Washington Island in Door County, Wisconsin is such a beautiful island to visit. We took a ferry with our car on it to get there which was so much fun! Door County is one of my favorite places to spend the summer. Fragrant Isle is a lavender farm, shop, & bakery with pick your own bundles of lavender right in the fields. I can’t wait to go back there again!

This sweet intimate wedding was so simple & beautiful! Riley said she wanted to have the whole day feel as if it was a dinner with family not a wedding. There were only about 30 guests & no wedding party. The simplicity made it all about them as a couple! The wedding & reception took place in the historic Kohler Company’s The American Club hotel in Kohler, Wisconsin. Every single place in this hotel is beautiful to photograph. Riley & Will were always laughing which made it so easy to photograph them!

Shasta from Plume Calligraphy is such an amazing talent! I’ve worked with her in the past - she purchased some antiques from my shop, Haven, to use in her styled calligraphy wedding shoots & I’ve purchased some of her wedding suites to use for styled shoots. The wooden dough bowl featured in these photos was one of those antiques she picked. Shasta is based in Minnesota so if you’re looking for someone to create timeless heirlooms for your wedding day you should definitely check her work out!

This wedding was one of my favorites! Liz is a very sweet person & their love for each other was so amazing to see! There were so many beautiful details to capture! Liz is a horticulturist so her & her relatives created the florals. The wedding took place at an old stone church in the countryside with the reception on her family's farm. They even renovated an old canned ham camper to stay in after the reception around their family’s pond!
