I was just looking through old photos of the antiques I sell & I found these two! I absolutely love taking photos outdoors so it's driving me crazy not being able to yet. Everything is dead, no leaves on the trees, just small buds. I've been staring at the lilac bush by my back door everyday to see how it's growing, but it's still just little leaves. I've been taking my photos on a linen piece of fabric for awhile since it's been winter, but it just isn't the look I wanted so I'm going to start taking them outdoors again! I found this old apple tree near a field which will definitely be in my photos again. Until then I will just stare at the lilac bush waiting for the flowers...
From now until April 30th, 2017, I'm excited to offer a free pack of English cottage flower seeds to every order of 4 (medium) rustic potager pots! These beautiful flowers are from Botanical Interests & all of them are organic/non-gmo. Once you put in your order either send me a message or put in the notes section of your order which type of flower you'd like. I have Hollyhock, Verbena, Larkspur, Poppy, & Bells of Ireland. This promotion is only for the medium sized pots. shopphaven.etsy.com
I recently went antiquing with my kids, which was an interesting idea, & these are some of the things I picked up! I have certain thrift & antique stores that I make my rounds at. It still seems so weird to me that I can do one of my favorite things & make money from it! I love finding treasures that people get so excited about! I surprisingly found a lot of French antiques which are hard to find in Wisconsin. I found lots of ironstone, copper pudding molds, a few enamelware colanders, an antique shutter (which my grandma actually bought from me), a French mortar & pestle, some floral frogs, & Italian glass canisters. I'm going to start blogging my antiquing trips, photo shoots I do with the things I'm selling as well as personal things like gardening & foraging!
I absolutely love these film photos I took when my daughter was a baby! I love the soft, warm window light on her face. They were taken on an old Canon AE-1 with Fuji 400h film. My daughter is now a fiesty 6 year old that thinks she's a teenager so it makes me smile when I look at these!
